On the Radio
Dr. Fernando Siles "Peruvian Soul" had it's air debut on KETR FM in Commerce, Texas on the program "Notably Texan" on June 30th, 2007. Host Matt Meinke played track 3 "Mermaid Song" one of his favorites, and plans on having a radio interview sometime in the near future with Dr. Siles. Meinke is interested in possible day time rotation of the song as well.
In addition, Dr. Siles has a in store CD signing and "visual imagery performance" at Hastings Records in Greenville, Texas on Sunday, July 29th at 2:00 p.m. Siles will explain how visual imagery works and lead in a session and sign autographs and CDs.
Univision, a latino station, channel 23 in Dallas plans on a t.v. interview with Dr. Siles later this summer as well. Dr. Siles also is working on other press related venues including Channel 8, "Good Morning Texas."
"Peruvian Soul" is now available for sale at Hastings records in Greenville, Texas and Sherman Texas. You can also buy his CD at La Independencia, a latino supermarket in McKinney, Texas as well as "The Great Frame Up" at the Firewheel Mall in Garland, Texas. CD Release Party 7-7-07
On lucky 7-7-07, Dr. Fernando Siles had his first CD release party at his office in Greenville, Texas with great enthusiasm and success. Dr. Siles made a toast of thanks and good fortune and owner / producer Kyle Shaffer of Through It All Music added a few more words of appreciation and inspiration. A CD table was set up where Dr. Siles signed copies of "Peruvian Soul" while it played on the stereo.
The event lasted from 5-8:30 p.m. and people came in and out the entire duration. There were approximately 30 people who attended including office staff, pharmaceutical reps, friends and family of Dr. Siles and Mr. Shaffer.
Schlotsky's Deli catered with sandwiches and there was a special cake made with the CD cover on it. Wine, cheese and other snacks were served along with soft drinks and bottled water.
Dr. Siles explained what "visual imagery" was and how it worked. He then performed "Healing Song #2" and "Inner Power" while leading a "visual imagery" exercise with those attending. People shared their personal experiences of what they saw and how the music effected them.
Compliments abounded about his music and how people loved the CD artwork and layout and how great it sounded. Many talked of how professional it looked and were very enthusiastic. Some even volunteered to sell the CD to others on their own.
Dr. Siles also announced his plans on a future CD release party sometime in August at
the restaurant "Esperanza Ganmarra" in Dallas, which features Peruvian cuisine. He invited all attending to come to that event as well.
